WHY DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH IN BLACK AND WHITE AND STILL ON FILM?

I've been asked many times why I only photograph in black and white - and on film. The film is purely a personal choice of medium or tools and as a painter and a photographer I have a picture in my mind, without really understanding it, until my work is complete. The reason I photograph in black and white is because... I find colour becomes all about the colour. It distracts from the mood, the emotion, the form and the relationship. Black and white invites study, feeling and understanding. So, stay a while and enjoy the GALLERIES.
